In times past , we simply cast our hearts upon a specific destination or experience — such as relaxing in Hawaii or visiting Machu Picchu — and then planned the vacation around that target of wanderlust . But now , more factors must be considered . For now , we also must think strongly about how we arrive to the destination , and how each step of that travel process is ensuring the health and safety of travelers and staff alike . We also must ponder the why of traveling .
For many of us , travel is part of our personal identity — it ’ s in our DNA — and we feel safe to feed that passion knowing that cruise lines , resorts and airlines are going above and beyond to keep us safe . Not only does this make us feel whole again , but it also greatly benefits the communities around the world that depend on tourism to thrive .
