as the car and trailer and I wondered how
they had brought all of that stuff with
them!
Ken and Hazie travel everywhere with
their two Maltese Poodle mix dogs; a
black one named Panda bear and a white
one called “Winnie Poo” in the trailer
they have named “The Original Minnie
Winnie”.
Ken is the third generation of his family
to work in the lighting fixtures business
and recalls many a family camping trip in
trailers that were not known as “vintage”
back then.
“I grew up camping with my parents and
grandparents in a 1940 teardrop trailer, a
Shasta, and an Airstream trailer. We still
have the original camp cupboard my dad
made in the 1950’s, so I am not new to
camping”.
Ken goes on to tell me that the reason
they got into vintage trailers was because
they went to a lot of car shows with their
1956 Chevrolet 210 wagon and enjoyed
the camaraderie of folks who also like to
restore and show cars.
“My buddy who has done car shows
all his life restored a 1969 Winnebago
trailer and color matched it to his 1950
