We heard that there were closer to 400 people who attended the trailer tour, and it was a way to let other women know that this is totally possible. That they can get back in touch with their adventurous self, maybe a self that hasn’t made itself known in a long time with the responsibilities of life, children, and caring for their families. I personally spoke to widows, to single women, who I could suddenly see were just like me, just wanting to enjoy the simple pleasures of waking up to the sounds of birds and the feel of gentle ocean breezes in your vintage camper. Indeed, Sisters on the Fly members empower each other to enjoy a feminine camping experience. Owning a camper or RV is not a requirement for membership, but there were certainly so many eyecandy inducing vintage trailers, as well as high-end custom decorated modern RV’s. No matter how modest, or how elegant, each woman put her personal stamp on her home for the weekend. Activities continued throughout the weekend included midnight campfires, Lemon Drop martini socials, relaxing on the beach, and sunset harbor cruise.
