Ursulines of Cincinnati Transition Sponsorship and Leadership
In response to changing times and circumstances , the cherished Ursulines of Cincinnati prayerfully and carefully discerned the future leadership of their Order and initiated the transition of sponsorship for their schools – St . Ursula Villa and Saint Ursula Academy . This transition involves the appointment of Sr . Sandy Sherman , current President of the Ursuline Sisters of Toledo , as Pontifical Commissary to “ see to the spiritual and material needs of the Cincinnati Ursulines ,” explains Ursulines of Cincinnati General Minister Sr . Margie Efkeman .

Sr . Margie continues , “ The Ursulines of Cincinnati welcome the leadership and partnership of Sr . Sandy in this ‘ next step ’ of a process initiated several years ago to secure their journey into the future . It frees the Cincinnati Sisters for mission and ministry to the People of God . The Ursulines of Cincinnati affirm our special relationship and shared history with Saint Ursula Academy and St . Ursula Villa and enthusiastically bless their educational ministries . As we journey forward , we celebrate the bright future ahead as each school becomes an Independent Catholic School in the Ursuline Tradition beginning July 1 , 2021 .”
“ If , according to times and circumstances , the need arises to make new rules or do something differently , do it prudently and with good advice .”
