1983 Nick Motz graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1987 and in 1993 obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati in Industrial Design. After college, he began purchasing, remodeling, and managing residential and small commercial properties, and now works with real estate sales/leasing, remodel/construction, and property development. Nick has been an Ohio- and Kentuckylicensed realtor for 20 years. In 2000, he married Mary Beth Wilker who provides design input on business projects. They live in Mt. Washington and love the outdoors, especially boating. Over the last 20 years, they’ve boated sections of the entire Ohio River from Pittsburg to the Mississippi River. 1996 Jocelyn Keller, LPCC, is a Professor of Sport Psychology at Carleton College in Northfield, MN where she also serves as head coach of the women's soccer team. She works parttime as a licensed therapist. Jocelyn is married to Ethan Johnson and they welcomed their daughter, Isle Bea, in May. Erika El-Sawaf Schmidt works in promotional planning at the Kroger general offices in downtown Cincinnati. She graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL where she received a Master of Psychology degree. She and her husband Zach live in Cincinnati and are expecting a baby girl in August. 1997 Marlise Schoeny Vance is the assistant curator of The Ohio State University Historic Costume & Textiles Collection. She is also an adjunct instructor in fashion history at The Columbus College of Art and Design. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters and their Golden Retriever. 2001 Spencer van der Zee is a visual artist and musician. Spencer married Villa classmate Alex Doyle in 2014. They enjoy traveling and are pictured here on a recent visit to Kyoto, Japan. 2002 Alex Doyle van der Zee graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law in 2013 and owns her own law firm, The Law Offices of Alex van der Zee, Esq., specializing in all aspects of family law. She is a volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyers Project representing low income clients. She and her husband, Spencer van der Zee (’01) have one son, two-year-old Oliver. 2006 Alex Brokamp studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing his master's degree in furniture and fixture design at the ArtCenter College of Design in Los Angeles, CA. His designs have been published in Metropolis, Dwell, Design Milk, Dezeen, Contract Mag, Core 77, Architectural Digest, Leibal, Sight Unseen, and Cincinnati Magazine. In May 2019, he participated in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City and was awarded a NYCxDesign Best Student Design award from Interior Design Magazine. 2007 Cassie Goldstein and her husband Josh are the proud parents of 2-year-old Brady Middendorf. They reside in Montgomery, OH where she is a stay-at-home mom. 24
