The Mennello Museum of American Art Sunday, September 8th is Free Family Day at The Mennello Museum of American Art. Every 2nd Sunday is Family Day with themed activities and free admission from noon to 4:30 p.m. For more details and other events please visit http://www.mennellomuseum.com/events.html Municipal Planning Board To help inform all residents in our District of potential planned developments; rezonings; master plans; annexations; conditional use applications, etc., I am posting the monthly agenda for the Municipal Planning Board (MPB) on our District 1 website at http://www.cityoforlando.net/ elected/council/district01/items.htm. This link will outline all agenda items (or the staff recommendations) for our District. Holiday Schedule City Hall offices will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2nd. The Solid Waste Management Division offices will be closed as well; however, they will be collecting residential garbage and recycling as regularly scheduled. It is important to have your garbage and recycling out before 6:00 a.m. to ensure pick up. Bandit Signs The City of Orlando’s Code Enforcement division has recently stepped up their efforts in eliminating the bandit signs that show up randomly all over the city. They are scheduling officers to work on weekends and evenings in an effort to clean up the signs and discourage businesses and churches from using this type of advertising. Narcoossee & Lake Nona Blvd Signal Light The Myrtle Creek Improvement District has been working with the Developer and The City of Orlando on the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Lake Nona Blvd. and Narcoossee Rd. Based on
