Thank you , thank you , thank you to all the wonderful people who are working tirelessly for the Cypress Branch of Boys & Girls

WIESENTHAL Aid here in Charbonneau . To Diann Harland and Elaine Swyt , our co-presidents who keep us informed and organized ; to Cherie Sanville and Jan Bliss , our co-vice presidents who set up our luncheons and keep track of all the people who come to them ; again to Cherie , who takes on many things not included in her job description .

The Boys & Girls Aid Board readies for an eventful next year now that pandemic restrictions are lifted .

Lynn Theis , a real go-getter , is our new secretary . We are grateful to Leslie Walker and Terri Royse for taking care of all the funds as co-treasurers . Terri also organizes and puts together the Easter baskets we give girls each year . Leslie has offered her home twice during the pandemic as a pick up and drop-off place for things donated to Boys & Girls Aid . Dianne McMichael has , for years , organized the 30 sport bags stuffed with goodies for the boys . When

we do these sport bags her house is full of the items she has purchased and the things for the bags that others have donated . Margie Wiesenthal writes the articles for The Villager and is always willing to volunteer for other tasks . Anne Shevlin and Lee Harker are in charge of our Bridge Marathon , which raises money each year for Boys & Girls Aid . Yes , we are back to playing Bridge .

Many of you who are attending the

Sept . 18 Crab and Rib Dinner may have already signed up to do so . It is being organized by Anne Shevlin , Elaine Swyt and Chris Bosak . There will be raffle tickets available at check in so that you can bid for baskets . Included in these baskets are beach vacations , airline tickets , catered dinners and much more . There will be a wine raffle and an opportunity to donate if you don ’ t win a basket . At this early writing we don ’ t have more information for you but it will be provided in the coming days . Our guest speaker will tell us about himself . He is one of the Boys & Girls Aid super-success stories .

Thank you to all of you in Boys & Girls Aid who will be setting up the dinner and have contributed to the items that will be bid on .
