“Scallywags” by SOOP Theatre Saturday, 15th March 2014 at 7.30pm Bighton Village Hall In the face of the seemingly inevitable threat of invasion during WWII, British Intelligence comes up with a splendid notion the enemy would never think of - Scallywags! Recruited on a really very hush-hush basis at the local Post Office, thousands of ordinary folk were trained as saboteurs to conceal blunt objects, make do with a hole in the ground, dot their dashes and drink rum in the face of interrogation. With their characteristic blend of physical theatre, song and comedy-drama, SOOP asks the question: what if the invasion actually happened? Admission by pre-booked reservations only Adults £7.50 each (Concessions £5.00; Children £1.00 ) Make your reservations on-line @ http://www.bighton.org.uk/ (then select Events with bookings option on the left of the page) Licensed bar will be available 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
