Edward Pay Medical Fund
We have been asked to explain the purpose
of this charity which was created 20 years
ago to remember Eddie Pay, a former
patient. Through donations and occasional
fund-raising initiatives the charity has
provided medical equipment and other
items to improve care or make the surgery
a more pleasant place for patients to visit.
Items purchased have included syringe
drivers, a new defibrillator, an electric couch
for those having chiropody, electric door
and pulse oximeters as well as new chairs
for the waiting room.

Flu vaccinations
We are approaching the end of our
seasonal programme. All patients who
qualify for a free jab have either had one or
been invited to attend at least once. If you
have had an invitation but not yet made an
appointment we strongly recommend that
you act now before our final stock is
exhausted.

Patient Information
We are regularly contacted by parents with
queries on behalf of their children, often for
test results. We have strict rules of
confidentiality which we must adhere to, so
if the young person is old enough to make
their own decisions, and certainly if they are
16 or over, they should contact us
themselves.

Christmas and New Year
Arrangements
The surgery will be closed on 25 and 26
December and 1 January. If you need
urgent medical care you can access the Out
of Hours service for advice, a face-to-face
appointment or, if it is necessary, a home
visit. At the time of writing the number to call
is 01962 718697, it will become 111 but we
do not have a date for this yet. You can find
out by looking at our website or listening to
the message on our phone line.
If you take regular medications please
make sure you have enough to see you
over the festive period and please place
requests with us in good time if repeats will
be needed. If you have family coming to
stay with you remind them not to forget their
medicines.
