have formed among former Muslims ! Here are the testimonies of two new followers of Jesus from a West African country ( edited for clarity ):
“ Mr . K * was an imam ( a Muslim clergyman ). He loved fetishes ( magical charms ) and consulted marabouts ( Muslim holy men believed to have spiritual power ). After many years , his left foot became paralyzed . This imam accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord after we evangelized . He gave up the life of fetishes . Jesus healed him perfectly , and he began attending church . Praise the Lord !”
“ While in a village during an evangelization event , we found a woman named H *, who had been unable to stand for seven years . She also felt excruciating pain in her kidneys . After introducing her to Jesus Christ of Nazareth , she accepted him and prayed with us . The following day at our next visit , God healed her completely , and she glorified Isa ( Jesus )!”
OMS receives many requests from church leaders in several West African countries to provide the Isa Loves Muslims training program for their members . Our Africa team has adopted an ambitious agenda to expand the reach of Isa Loves Muslims in West Africa . We also plan to begin a pilot training program in one East African country to share the love of Jesus with a large unreached Muslim people group there .
In the next three years , we aim to train 58,000 Christians using the Isa Loves Muslims curriculum . Through this training , we hope to reach 293,000 Muslims with
the Gospel , see 9,200 Muslims become disciples of Jesus , and start 1,500 new house churches or cell groups among former Muslims . This is a God-sized vision for a God-sized task , and we will accomplish it only through the power of Jesus and the prayers and support of his people .
In the coming months , please pray earnestly for the success of the Isa Loves Muslims training , for God to provide adequate funding to accomplish his task , and for thousands of Muslims to meet their Savior and experience his love , mercy , and freedom in their lives !
