Since I bought my Toyota ist three years ago , I have serviced my tyres and car religiously to maintain both at optimum level . This includes checking the tyres for the correct pressure , having the tyres balanced and aligned and , of course , the regular car service .
During one of my regular checks at our head office branch on University Way , one of the workshop attendants said to me : “ Madam , you need to replace your tyres .” I thought , how rude of him , I do not have tyres to replace . But then I realised he wasn ’ t actually talking about me but about my car tyres .
Smooth driving
For the record , the tyres on my Toyota are 185 / 65R15 – and , yes , I read it from the sidewall of the tyre ( proud of myself ).
I have been eyeing Michelin ’ s new Energy XM2 tyres since they were launched last year . The offer of a Pothole Guarantee on these longlasting , robust , safe tyres was over at the end of last year . But I was still determined to fit them anyway . Luckily for me , Michelin , having faith in its product , extended this offer for 2013 once more . Despite being in the tyre business , I had to wait because the tyres had sold out faster than we had anticipated . Our imports manager confirmed the shipping and I waited for a month to receive them . Luckily , my tyre tread had not quite reached the 1.6 mm level for legal replacement .
Driving on my new tyres was an amazing experience . The ride was smooth . I felt more in control , and
