HIGHLIGHTS & HAPPENINGS Villabration 2019 Hundreds of friends enjoyed a special evening of fun and fundraising to benefit St. Ursula Villa’s outstanding educational programs. Held Saturday, April 13 on the Villa’s campus, “Game Night at the Villa” raised over $230,000 through Silent and Live Auctions. During “the party of the year” for our entire Villa community, our departing eighth-grade families served as honorary Villabration chairs as we said “thank you” for being instrumental to our Villa community in ways big and small. Principal Polly Duplace thanked attendees, volunteers, donors, and sponsors for making the event a huge success. Clever and colorful game- themed decorations and centerpieces added to the festive event while auctioneer Doug Sorrell led spirited bidding on amazing items. Keith and Jessica Hall participated in Silent Auction games of chance. Isla Vogelpohl raised her paddle for a Live Auction item to the delight of her table mates Nirvana Patel and Rachel Miller. The Live Auction included a Special Appeal to continue funding the St. Ursula Villa Emergency Family Tuition Fund to assist families with unforeseen temporary setbacks that impact their child’s ability to remain at the Villa. St. Ursula Villa is grateful for our two generous Event Sponsors - Home City Ice and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Advisors including The Evelo Singer Sullivan Group, Michael Frey, The Haddad Group, Dan Hass/ River Hills Group, The Murphy Group, John Payton, and Mark Ryan. 13 Eighth-grade families enjoying the game-themed celebration include: seated, left to right: Randy Chavez, Linda Chavez, Sheila Oeder.
