FACULTY NOTES
( Retirees cont . from page 22 )
A hard worker , full of life , and someone who has a " bubbly " personality , are words our faculty uses when describing Ginny Verdin .
Ginny , a Villa student for grades 2-8 and a former teacher , returned to the school in 2014 to be an Instructional Assistant for Holly Heekin ’ s 1 st grade classroom . The following year , she assisted Diane Horst in her classroom before returning to Holly ' s classroom for the next seven years . “ I loved coming to the Villa to work ,” said Ginny . “ It was a bit like coming home .” And , if you ask Holly about Ginny ’ s contributions in the classroom , Holly is eager to tell you that Ginny truly loved the children and treated them with such kindness and care .
Outside of the classroom , Ginny loved working the car line . “ It was amazing seeing past , present , and future students every morning ,” says Ginny .
Deciding to retire wasn ’ t an easy decision for Ginny , but she thought it was best so she could spend more time with her aging parents and have more time to travel .
