Toronto resident, Mrs. Angela Bugin.
Mrs. Bugin, who has resided at VCT since
2011, shared her story and secrets to her
longevity.

premiere presentation of “If on a
Christmas Night…”/ ”Se una notte a
Natale…” received significant media
coverage including on TLN and Mediaset
Italia. This immersive theatrical
experience was a tremendous success
with audiences and critics alike, engaging
patrons from across the GTA including
members of the Italian-Canadian
community.

“When Tony Luciani’s 95-year-old
mother moved in with him four
years ago, he used photography
as a way to fight and reflect on
her dementia.”
“MAMMA, In the Meantime” by Tony
Luciani, was the focus of an in-depth
article in Toronto Life. The multimedia
exhibition of photographs, paintings,
drawings and video chronicled the story
of Luciani and his mother Elia as they
experience living with her dementia.
CBC.ca, April 29, 2018: A ceremony at
the Italian Fallen Workers Memorial Wall,
located on the Villa Charities campus,
generated extensive coverage in both
Italian and mainstream news outlets
including CBC News, City TV, CP24 and
OMNI TV. The stories covered the
first-ever presentation of the Medaglia
d’Oro al Merito Civile, one of the highest
honours given by Italy, to the families of
the fallen workers, the Committee for The
Italian Fallen Workers Memorial Project,
Villa Charities and the community at large.
