During their set at the Whisky A
Go Go, they played a mix of their
original music and covers.
Their sound was pure and their
set was full of energy. Alicia was
constantly moving around the
stage. Her vivacity captivated the
crowd.
“The talent of this group is so off
the charts,” Luca said. “We can
play everything and we can make
it sound great. We can make it
sound better than the original.”
While each band member had
different musical influences, they
all loved and appreciated blues.
While they have a common love of blues,
all five members agreed they will deviate
from Funk at some point to make original
music.
Currently, Alicia and Hiroki are
collaborating on a rock song. Hiroki wrote
the music and now they are working on the
lyrics.
“What’s great about our shows is that
it’s not just for one type of crowd, it’s for
everybody,” Donald said. “People come
up to me saying they love our shows and
I love talking to the people in the crowd.”
“Everything is blues,” Alicia said.
“My mentor told me, all music
comes down to blues, a song on
the radio to classical music. It is all
blues.”
