I mean, really,
just think about it for a sec.
We’re two guys in our yard, talking
about girls. How do we know we’re
really here? Why this yard, not
another?
think she knows I
Well, how do you
know you exist?
exist!
The only thing
we’re doing in this school is
study what we don’t want to
study and finding a little bit of
a refuge in talking about our
changeable feelings...
...What is our greater
purpose? Why this Island
of all places? Our lives are
only about grades. What
have we really
ACCOMPLISHED?
We live here where the Sun
is the center of everything. But
it really isn’t. Our so brilliant star
can’t be distinguished among
all those other much magnificent
stars far-far away.
We’re just one of 7 Billion
people, how will we be
any different from them?
Juxtaposed to
them we are awfully
miniscule specks of dust
which do not matter much
at all...
...
...
So, do you think
she likes me?
Nah.
Even if we do accomplish something —
anything — no one will ever remember it. And when
the universe dies no one will remember this human
race which thought it did so much. It will be as If we
had never been here at all...
