Highlights IISSAC HIGHLIGHTS By: Ju Hoon Park Five international school teams from Java and Bali arrived at Mountainview International Christian School on February 21, 2014 to participate in the annual IISSAC (Indonesian International Small School Activity Conference) basketball competition. Having prepared for it all year, Mountainview hosted the event with a newly constructed locker room, fancy scoreboards, and diverse multicultural food. The tournament finally kicked off with the boys’ game between Bandung Alliance International School (BAIS) and Wesley International School (WIS) while Bali International School girls competed against MICS girls. After competing in the round robin to determine the seed on Friday and Saturday, Bali guys and Wesley girls came in first, followed by MICS guys and Bali girls. On Sunday, Bali International School boys and Bandung International School girls fought their way up to the finals and escorted the trophy back to their schools. Although another year of training seems lengthy, both MICS guys and girls are eager to prepare for the next IISSAC with humility and hopefully bring back the trophy. 3
