Moro-Moro Project

On March 21, for the

first time in history, Mountainview invited the governor of Central Java and other pertinent government officials to campus. The governor and his company took a tour around the campus, and afterwards, watched a Wayang performance, a traditional Javanese

Class Trips

The Moro-Moro project successfully helped the residents in need. Both

students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the project and donated school supplies, sports equipments, and secondhand clothes. According to Eko Baday, the coordinator of Moro-Moro Education Department, donation from Mountainview aided two schools: Taman Pendidikan Al Quran( TPA) and TK Swadaya in Moro-Moro.

Governor Visit puppet story written by the school’ s board chairman, Frank Fosdahl. The story was about the Creation and the Gospel message presented in a contextualized manner. Then, they enjoyed the meal and gamelan performances in the gym. This visit allowed Mountainview to build a closer relationship with the Indonesian government.

During the Easter Break, Freshmen, Sophomores,

and Juniors had memorable and fun time together.
Freshmen- Half of the Freshman class, chaperoned by Mr. Martin and Ms. Munsell, went to the Jepara beach from Thursday to Saturday. The Freshmen enjoyed their time, swimming and riding the banana boat. Added to their fun was a bet to take a picture with an American they had met who had dread locs down to his knees and hadn’ t had a haircut for 20 years. They returned on Saturday.
Sophomores- On Easter Sunday, the Sophomores took a class trip to Jogjakarta where they watched GI Joe Retaliation in the big screen. They spent the night at Jeanie Kwak’ s guest house. There, the Class played games and talked with each other all night. The following morning, after playing DDR and eating lunch together at Pizza Hut, the class returned home.
Juniors- The Junior class held a class sleepover in the auditorium on Thursday evening, started off by a potluck dinner at the pavilion. Afterwards, the class played games together and watched“ Star Trek” in the auditorium. Once the movie ended, the girls went to McGavran’ s house to sleep while the boys slept in the auditorium.
