Weekend in Paris

At the beginning of the school year, the Junior class was given the important task of organizing this year’ s Junior-Senior Banquet. Although inexperienced, the Juniors slowly learned how to raise funds through food fairs, movie nights, and of course, the Junior Snack Shop. With the suggested“ French” theme during a class discussion, the Juniors immediately thought of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. With the theme“ Weekend in Paris,” the banquet held at Susan Spa Resort was decorated with bright yellow lights and portraits of the Seniors posted along the walls. At dinner time, the Juniors themselves served the main meals of Chicken Cordon Blue and Tenderloin Steak. Afterwards, there was a game of Musical Chairs followed by ballroom dancing. The night came to a dramatic close with a video presentation about the Senior Class made by the Juniors.
All the effort and careful planning the Juniors poured into this year’ s banquet were solely dedicated to the Senior class of 2013. Every Junior knew the purpose of this banquet: to honor the Seniors by making them feel loved and respected. However, the Juniors also knew that without persevering through all the fundraisers and class meetings, they could not have pulled off this banquet for the Senior class.
