UK LINGERIE MARKET

The UK's current lingerie market stands at a value of £2.47 billion as recent records show. it is up 0.7% from last year and accounts for 22% of women underwear market in Western Europe, which has also taken a rise of 1.3% since 2016.The industry has also seen an overall online growth of 29.8% in the last year, which could mean women are no longer going into store to purchase their underwear

However, a study done by 'Underline', shows that Victoria's Secrets online presence has dropped. By recording the Google annual search, VS has declined by 10% in the year. Although there has been a decline, VS are still in the top four most searched, with 15,074 searching for the American lingerie brand.

Victoria Secret is seeing a decline in sales since December 2016, and this may be due to the backlash they are facing regarding their choice of models and ambassadors.
