Located at 1300 Grove St., the Martha Vick House offers a personal connection to Vicksburg’ s founding family and the man for whom the city was named. This beautifully preserved home provides an intimate glimpse into 19th-century life, with antiques, heirlooms, and architectural details that reflect a bygone era. A visit here is more than a tour.
Located at 1114 First East St., the Duff Green Mansion stands as a testament to Southern grandeur and resilience. This Palladian-style villa, with its stately columns and graceful proportions, has witnessed some of Vicksburg’ s most dramatic moments. Inside, visitors hear stories of the family who built it, the Civil War siege that turned it into a Confederate hospital, and the remarkable tales of survival within its walls. Period furnishings, fine architectural details, and knowledgeable guides bring the 1850s vividly to life.
Oak Hall
Located at 2430 Drummond St., Oak Hall enhants visitors with its timeless beauty. Also known as The Fannie Willis Johnson Home, it was built in 1910 in Mission Revival style. The home is lined in quarter sawn oak and boasts 32 custom stained glass windows and original beaux art lighting fixtures designed by Louis Millet, from the Chicago Art Institute.
