rainstorming about which restaurant to cover for our first article, we snooped through the hotspots of Dhaka and finally decided on the perfect place! We loved it not just for the food, but also the ambience and entrepreneurs who introduced the food-loving city to a very new deli, Panini.
Team Hunger Management was pretty surprised to see these young souls introduce the new flavors of Italian sandwiches filled with meat and vegetable salsa and a whole lot of other ingredients. As one of the owners, Mr. Shafqat Rahman told us,“ Panini is the dish to experiment. You can fill it in with meat, cheese and veggies, and so much more! Our main motive was to introduce a new form of food to Dhaka, like we did with Crepe-au-lait. Panini or deli inspired cafes are very common all over the world and I just had to initiate this in my country.”
These sandwiches can be sweet-filled as well. Like a cherry on top, Panini serves their distinct“ cherry” with amazing sauces on the side that are made by their very own chefs. To be completely honest, we have personally never tasted better sauces anywhere else.
As soon as you enter the place, the force of elegance embraces your enthusiastic souls to welcome you to their restaurant. They made an excellent use of space and mirrors. The chef. What is mesmerizing about the fabulous interior is that Mr. Shafqat has used his inner talent to decorate the place all by himself which obviously reflects his sophisticated personality.
Coming down to the food, you will not be disappointed with what Panini has to offer. The menu comprises of a wide range of Italian cuisine including panini, spaghetti, pastas, and burgers along with their signature sauces. The food is served in a generous amount, almost enough to fill more than one stomach unless of course you are a bottomless pit! For example, the sea food pasta has chunks of juicy shrimp, squid, etc. The sauce on the side complements the flavors used in the spicy and cheesy dish. The Pollo Caprese, on the other hand, might please you more than the pasta after all. This Panini has a filling mixed with chicken breasts, onions, tomatoes and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The best part about this dish is that the filling is lavishly coated with glistening mozzarella cheese. If you want to experiment a little more, you might want to try the chicken and shrimp jambalaya which is another signature dish of the exquisite restaurant.
You know how when you go into a fancy restaurant, the burger is the last thing on your mind? The thing that might lose focus amongst all the fancy meals but literally steals the show is the“ GUIDO’ S BURGER”
the white quirky sauce acts as a creamy sidekick. The burger is so good that it might as well make you forget all that you’ ve had before, all the burgers you have ever tasted. It’ s an exquisite blend of perfection inside a

Then again, Panini isn’ t just about savories. Their line of sweet Panini’ s are truly a unique experience every Deshi food lover must try once at the very least. Choco hazelnut, peach and chocolate, mascarpone surprise and cheesy apple are the four exclusive sweet dishes solely served by them to gratify your sweet tooth. To wash it all down, the drinks
