Well, this is the thing that I hate the most, recluse
spiders. I have seen them in some occasions, but when
I see them I get crazy. I’m that kind of person who
runs everywhere shouting that there is a spider
without doing something useful about it. However in
other occasions when I’m brave, I go for a shoe (best
weapon for killing a spider) and when I’m back to kill
it, it is not there anymore. My brain tells to myself
that it will be back, so my piece of advice for you is
to kill it right away!
In comparison with the other stories this is the funniest
one. All started with my aunt and me hanging the
clothes to let them get dry. We were talking about the
grass, that it was so green and all that stuff and
suddenly I could see the entire leg of my aunt full of
little red ants. She started to shout and jump and I just
thought that she needed them out of her leg, so I took
the hose. You can imagine what happened then, she got
all wet, and with a “why did you do that?” face, but the
ants were not there any more.
That was the last story that I let you know about because I don’t want you
to think that you can die here in Chile. It is just that I want you to know
everything, and that the bugs here are not terrible, they just give you a
complete experience in a new place, and they can even make you laugh in
the future remembering those episodes.
Do you know something about the Changas or kissing bug? I have heard
that it lives in the north of Chile. Send us your experience to
