How much do you feel the popular trends and fashion styles has changed over the past few years? What has come, and what has gone (for the better, perhaps?)
Honestly, I don't think it's changed much. The most change we've seen seems to be in colors. The last few years’ collections have switched like a pendulum between monochrome color schemes, and bold bright colors (take Yeezy 1 and 3 as an example). Another big change is that a few years ago, slim fits was king. Celebrities as well as regular people all dressed in slim outfits, whether it was Rick Owens, Raf Simons, Damir Doma, Givenchy etc. But over the past year or two it's been boxy and oversized outfits.
A great example is to look at the typical "Kanye inspo" albums on Reddit. From 2014 to 2015 he switched from Bottega Venetta, Acne, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and ABC (all slim aesthetique) to oversized tops and bulky bottoms from Haider Ackermann etc.
What is your style like today?
It's relaxed and simple while still trying to blend out a bit. I dress for myself and some days I feel like going 'typical-outfit-from-fashion-week' with a longsleeved tee, Rick joggers or cargos, a pair of ramones and my beloved Cote et Ciel Isar rucksack. But usually I wear some oversized top like my All Saints boucle sweater, my Yeezy Season 1 camo longsleeve or my replica Yeezy Season 1 hoodie. With those I usually wear either my replica Fear of God distressed denim jeans, replica Fear of God drawstring joggers, replica Saint Laurent Paris D02 waxed jeans, or my replica Balmain bikers in black. For shoes I wear either my v2 coppers, UB 1.0 all whites or my replica canvas ramones
Considering that I'm a moderator and co-creator of a community for high end replicas, then I don't really buy a lot of them. I like finding the replicas, and sharing them with people who are looking for them, but I rarely buy them. I'm kind of minimalistic when it comes to what I wear. I do have a few FoG tops coming in, along with a Rick Owens DRKSHDW hooded bomber, a pink Acne hoodie from this season, a Gucci t shirt and a SLP shadow Grey flannel shirt. All of this cost me roughly $350 shipping included, and it would have cost me maybe $2850 if I would have to get it retail or from Grailed, or some Facebook group.
