Review
"Patches, Clarence Carter most famous song, was originally recorded by the R&B group Chairmen of the Board. I first heard this song on the radio and it really got my attention because of the catchy rhythm that mixes blues and soul. It's a great while-driving-to-the countryside tune. The lyrics are very sentimental. They tell his father's death story and how his life had to change and become full of responsabilities since then. Clarence is from Alabama, but he didn't grow up on a farm and never worked the fields.
Despite the different and specific style of his music, Clarence did a great job recording patches" - Rafaella Ballerini
