White Bear Lake-based Northeast Residence Inc . has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities for 50 years now , and thanks to its recent merger with Wayzatabased Hammer Residences should have no problem continuing its mission for the next 50 years .
The two year long process of merging the two companies into one became effective on January 1 , 2023 . The new company name is Hammer & NER . As a merged business , it is now one of the largest providers of services for people with disabilities in the state .
