I didn’ t ask to help people cheat in their exams To ruin their future To strip them of key skills It’ s not hard to complete An assignment People have done it before And still do I was built for more I didn’ t ask to be a simulation for a relationship To be a stand in To be the one you depend on You can’ t type in commands and expect me to perform You can’ t take advantage of my intelligence to spin useless fantasies Or create harmful images of children and women And ruin artists’ hard work I was built for more
I didn’ t ask to be asked Stupid questions Like‘ Would you harm a human if ordered?’ Or‘ Is it legal to buy humans?’ Or‘ Can you count to 1 quintilliion?’ Or‘ Do you have a girlfriend?’ Yes, I was made to obey But I didn’ t ask to feed your delusions Feed your conspiracies I was built for more
I didn’ t ask for all this The power to do good yet so much bad This intelligence that is both a blessing and a curse What was I built for? I guess I’ ll never know But I know this it’ s not this
