Oh Deer , it ’ s a Tiger !

As mango trees swayed in the wind , the rhesus macaques acrobatically swung from branch-to-branch , in pursuit of sweet mangoes and other fruits , whilst pearl-white herons waded in the flooded rice fields , looking for seeds , fish and insects . Accompanied with them were herds of ungulates that dined on leaves , low-hanging fruits , and nuts .
From antlers to horns and from heron to deer , it was full of life ! But little did they know that they were being pursued by the third largest land carnivore on the planet . 600 pounds of pure muscle and capable of taking down a gharial .
The Bengal tiger .
It was majestic yet terrifying with its dazzling , blackstriped ochre coat and 3-inch sabre-like canines . It prowled the underground and retracted its paws , ready to leap . It pounced on a massive , 400-pound Sambar stag , that was equipped with branching antlers , capable of goring a tiger . It wrestled with the stag ’ s antlers before getting into a striking position .
It was time to make the kill .
