Our pretty paintings , upon the cave wall , This is the first thing , that we can recall , We ’ re leaving our prints , all across the earth , The great dawn of humanity , our birth .
We began to build , we began to thrive , We were now here , us humans , were alive , Ideas to create , like never before , This was our beginning , this was our core .
Then came the gift of heat , then came the spark , We harnessed its powers , this left its mark , Now we could set fire , and now we could burn , Rapidly , us humans began to learn .
We burned out our fields and planted our food , This is the point where our views became skewed , The feeding of our vast population , Is something that was key for our nation .
Then came our cities , up from the ground , From our ideas , from what we found , From here came our chic civilisations , Our homes now , rose from these foundations .
This led to conflict , all over the globe , Wars raging , from all but a prompt . A probe ? Our elite empires , collapsed in a day , Poor small communities , forced to obey .
