Having received so many entries from every year group , it is amazing to see how different experiences , different adventures have shaped our understanding of ‘ expression .’
Verve is a magazine that annually celebrates imaginative writing and offers students a platform to express their creativity and explore their originality . Verve aims to show the ways that creative writing can be used and allow readers a way to engage in the creativity themselves . So , we thank you for putting your pens to paper , your visions into tales .
This year we have chosen to stimulate creativity by creating prompts portraying the work of artists and added our own short reflection to provide suggestions to allow students to start imagining . One of the artists mentioned , Wangechi Mutu , fittingly said , ‘ imagination has the power to change everything .’
