Welcome to the 2022 edition of Verve ! This year ’ s selection was incredibly tough to choose due to the large number of fantastic submissions you sent in . However , after careful consideration , we are proud to present this magazine packed with your creative writing highlights . We have included a wide range of genres and we hope you will enjoy flicking through the pages that range from visceral realisations of memory to comedic wordplay , from musings on love to dioramas of nature and much more . Our writers have used a range of materials for inspiration , such as classical paintings in the poems ‘ Flower Girl ’,
‘ Medea ’ and ‘ The Memory of the Sun ’. Our collection involves a wide range of styles including fictional letters , rhymed poetry and long-form prose , to name a few .
