Despite the poor relationship between the Capulets and the Montagues, Romeo and Juliet exchanged emotional first words with each other after a party hosted by the Capulets. "O, speak again, bright angel, for thou art As glorious to this night, being o'er my head, As a winged messenger of heaven" -Romeo. "O Romeo, O Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet." -Juliet. Romeo and Juliet were destined to be together and were convinced that neither fate nor their family name was a valid reason to separate them. They chose to use fate to their advantage--to strengthen their love and fasten infatuation.
