Works by Andrea Stoehr at Equinox Village
The Gallery at Equinox Village is excited to feature works by Andrea Stoehr . An opening reception is scheduled for August 1 from 5pm to 6pm . There will be refreshments and live music performed by Marc LaChac . This event is free and open to the public . If you cannot attend the Opening Reception , The Gallery at Equinox Village is open daily between 9am and 5pm . The exhibit will remain on display through September 16 .
Andrea McSweeney Stoehr is most recently a Pastel artist , and it is her passion . She has a degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Sculpture and a Pastry Arts degree from Midwest Culinary She has worked as an Industrial Designer in house at Kenner / Hasbro for ten years and freelanced for various Toy companies for twenty-five plus years .

Canfield Gallery Exhibit
The Canfield Gallery , located at the Martha Canfield Library , 528 East Arlington Rd . in Arlington , VT , will host the Vermont Historical Society ’ s traveling exhibit Anything for Speed : Automobile Racing in Vermont now through August 22 . The exhibit , created by the Vermont Historical Society , explores over a century of the history and evolution of racing in Vermont . When you picture Vermont , you probably imagine peace and quiet and bucolic mountain views – but the state ’ s faster , louder side has a proud history too . Explore the people , places , and cars contributing to the fabric of our history in all corners of the state . Racing is in Vermont ’ s blood just as much as maple syrup . The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours .
A ” Sit & Chat ” with former racer Bob Elliott from Higley Hill in Marlboro , VT will be held on August 10 from 1pm to 3pm at the library for the public to view the exhibit and talk with Bob . Bob raced at the Brattleboro Speedway and Stateline Speedway in North Bennington during the early 1950 ’ s . Job Security : Voices and Views from the American Security Industry runs from August 12 through December 9 on the 1st and 2nd Floor Main Galleries . Artist Danny Goodwin and writer Edward Schwarzschild explore the people , places , and ideologies of the ever-expanding American security industry in an exhibition of photography , video , and text installations that asks what we mean when we speak of security — Security for whom and by whom ?
Sky Hopinka : Dislocation Blues also runs from August 12 through December 9 in the Nancy Hyatt Liddle Gallery .
