T. Greenwood grew up in rural Vermont in the 1970s. She began writing stories at seven years old and wrote her first“ novel” at nine on her dad’ s electric typewriter. Since then, she has published sixteen novels and has won three San Diego Book Awards. Five of her novels have been Indie Next picks, and Bodies of Water was a finalist for a Lambda Foundation award. She and her husband, Patrick, split their time between San Diego, CA and her family’ s camp on a pond in Vermont. Everything Has Happened is her 16th and latest novel, a mystery set in a small Vermont town in 1986, when a child disappeared. Nearly forty years later, a tip line rings. AMERICA 250 JULY 1- 5
To celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra hits the road with its Summer Festival Tour, America 250, bringing music to communities across the Green Mountain State. There’ s nothing quite like a balmy July evening in the Vermont outdoors, especially when the state’ s orchestra performs beloved favorites like Morton Gould’ s“ American Salute,” Aaron Copland’ s“ Hoe-Down from Rodeo,” a lively selection of music by John Williams and John Philip Sousa, and more. Music Director Andrew Crust invites you to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy this cherished annual tradition. Each location features the VSO’ s Musical Petting Zoo before the performance, where audiences young and old can explore a variety of orchestral instruments. Two works will be elevated by live narration by actor / director Jarvis Green and special guests. Performances will be in South Pomfret( July 1); East Burke( July 2); Grafton( July 3); Shelburne( July 4); and Stowe( July 5). For more, visit vso. org.
