FREEDOM & UNITY MONTPELIER, VT PERMANENT EXHIBIT

The award-winning Freedom and Unity exhibit at the Vermont History Museum( VHM) presents a compelling history of the state from the first inhabitants to the present. Visitors walk through time and experience a full-sized Abenaki wigwam, a re-creation of the Catamount Tavern where Ethan Allen’ s Green Mountain Boys gathered, a railroad station complete with a working telegraph, and a World War II era living room furnished with period music and magazines. The VHM is Central Vermont’ s destination to learn about the history of the Green Mountain State. Located in the Pavilion Building in downtown Montpelier, it showcases the Vermont Historical Society’ s collections through its exhibits and educational programming. 5TH ANNUAL BEST OF VERMONT SUMMER FESTIVAL

Now designated as a Vermont Signature Event, this year marks a special milestone of five years for the Best of Vermont Summer Festival! The event will take place at Okemo Field( Bixby Field) on Route 103, the use of which is generously donated again by lead sponsor Okemo Mountain / Vail Resorts.
