Craft Building

Built in the late-19th century , the Craft Building originally served as the location of Weston ’ s first firehouse , and later transitioned into a new role as the site of Frank Mansur ’ s machine shop . In the years that followed , a series of Vermont artisan craftspeople made use of its spaces , united collectively under the Vermont Guild of Old Time Crafts and Industries . The Craft building now houses a rare red Concord coach , which was used as a bandwagon at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries .

The Farrar-Mansur House

After Pease ’ s mill was acquired by Captain Oliver Farrar , he and his wife , Polly , built a larger homestead . At the end of the 18th century , the structure was complete . In addition to living quarters for the Farrars , a tavern room was complemented by a parlor and ballroom . In 1857 , the Farrars sold the property to the Mansur Family . The Mansurs remained there until 1932 , when Frank Mansur donated the building to the Community Club . As part of the agreement , Frank Mansur stipulated that the building be converted into a museum , which still stands today .
