Maven has a storefront on Church Street . In the summertime , it also has a pop-up shop right next to A _ Dog . Talent Skatepark is the indoor park that skaters flock to when winter takes hold in Burlington . Their shop is fully stocked for all your skate needs , and the park features an outdoor wooden bowl and mini ramp .

Located in Dana L . Thompson Memorial Park , just north of downtown Manchester , another Grindline-designed concrete skatepark that was partially-funded by The Skatepark Project stands in the middle of an open green field . The Manchester Skatepark features obstacles that are suited for skaters of all skill levels , several of which pay tribute to the topography of the surrounding region . Two ledge obstacles in the park are made out of marble sourced from nearby local Danby Quarry , and two conical ramps in the center of the park pay tribute to the two closest mountains in the Taconic range . A thin blue mural that pays homage to Southwestern Vermont ’ s famous Battenkill River snakes through the park , tracing a flowing line that leads down to a 3-sided bowl with pool coping .
Officially opened in September 2019 , the first completed phase of the park came as a result of years of concentrated community effort . Local skateboarders of all ages joined forces with local parents , a public relations worker , a policeman , and a town engineer to advocate for the park ’ s completion . Together , they formed a diverse group of motivated community members known as the Manchester Skatepark Committee . One person who was instrumental in the oversight of the Manchester Skatepark Committee was Bill Strecker , who is also the owner of Arson Skateshop in downtown Manchester . Bill is a passionate skateboarder whose enthusiasm for the sport is reflected not only in his continuous efforts to raise funds for the Manchester skatepark project , but
