Hunt graduated from University of Vermont in 1986 with a degree in engineering . He then moved to Europe , where he worked for Siemens as an electrical engineer . His extensive travels exposed him to a range of architectural styles , sparking his interest in pursuing a Master of Architecture graduate degree at the University of Colorado .
