Vermont is fortunate to have so many of its summer and fall farmers markets go indoors for the cold season . Following that model , the Dorset Farmers Market will return again this year to J . K . Adams , the iconic woodworking factory operating in Dorset since 1944 . J . K . Adams opens up the factory floor to local farmers — and has done so for 20 years .
The Dorset Farmers Market is one of the few producer-only markets that runs throughout the year . For 29 weeks , between October 20 and May 4 , J . K . Adams hosts the market . The market moves outdoors to H . N . Williams from Mother ’ s Day to mid-October .
You can easily stock up on those Holiday Gift Basket supplies in J . K . Adams ’ Kitchen Store and then head into the factory to visit local purveyors at the Market , where you can add more to your basket or take home some produce , treats , or personal products for your own household . The Dorset Farmers Market has some exciting events planned for the winter season , including two seasonal food drives and a visit from Santa and Mrs . Claus .
