The Studio
Less than two months after our wedding , Old Mill Road Recording opened .
GRAMMY ® Award-Winning engineer , Benjamin J . Arrindell , and I had been friends for almost 20 years — and it was a dream come true for us . Ben has 30 + years of experience recording and mixing for notable artists such as Aretha Franklin , The Temptations , Mary J . Blige , Yolanda Adams , Janet Jackson , and Busta Rhymes , to name a few .

The studio has top-of-the-line equipment and is thoughtfully organized for comfort , flow , and versatility . It provides the opportunity to record pristine sound while overlooking a breathtaking river view .
Our efforts were rewarded in January 2020 with the NAMM TEC Award , the Audio Design equivalent of winning the Super Bowl .
Over the last 5 years , we ’ ve produced several in-house projects at the studio , including Benjamin Lerner ’ s debut album , CLEAN , and TONY ® and EMMY ® Award Winner Lillias White ’ s Get Yourself Some Happy !

But the studio has also served countless outside clients , ranging from high schoolers auditioning for their college music programs to local musicians who are trying to move their professional careers forward . We ’ ve done post-production sound for major movie studios ( 20th Century Studios , Netflix , and The History Channel ) and audio books for publishers , including Penguin Random House .
One of our happiest collaborations has been with 102.7 WEQX , the regional radio station based out of Manchester , VT . Old Mill Road has produced 2 weekly radio shows , aired each week on WEQX : Benjamin Lerner ’ s Clean Jams ( which shines a spotlight on rap , hip-hop , and Recovery ) and Jazz ‘ n TOST , a Sunday morning jazz show , hosted by TONY ® Award Winner , Christian Hoff .
