As we gear up for Halloween in Vermont , we at VERMONT Magazine have prepared a curated assortment of several horror movies and series with deep Green Mountain Roots . The featured cinematic treasures that we picked were either filmed in the Green Mountain State , prominently feature Vermont , or both !
Vermont ’ s picturesque landscapes and charming towns — both real and fictional — set the stage for spine-tingling movie magic . From the unforgettable Beetlejuice , the chilling What Lies Beneath , the primal and romantic Wolf , and the delightfully dark , Wednesday , each featured film or show is enhanced by Vermont ’ s rustic majesty . For additional thrills , we have also included a sneak peek at the filming of Beetlejuice 2 , which brought back Tim Burton and several members of the original , legendary cast to the idyllic Vermont town of East Corinth .
