As part of our strategic development plan we
have spent substantial amounts on the following
areas of school life in the past twelve months:
Facilities
> The playground space has been developed
> The wi-fi infrastructure of the school improved
> Increased investment in the cooling system in
school
> Improvements to the catering department both
in terms of machinery and suppliers.
> Rebranding the school and its internal
surroundings.
> Science lab
> Secondary Library
Information technology
> Increasing the number of laptops for students in
Primary to use for research and study.
> Purchase of tablets for the younger students in
school in particular to make the best use of IT
equipment.
> ‘Now Press Play’ devices to engage student
learning through imaginative stimulation.
> Investment in Robotics
Books, new Library and resources
> A new library complete with a thousand actual
books as a starting point and a huge set of ‘paid for’
online books and catalogues to research from.
> Textbooks to support all of the IGCSE courses.
> Supplies and resources budget tripled from the
last academic year
Sports equipment
> Increased spending on sports equipment
> Increased spending on facilities and coaching
> Increased number of rental hours and doubled the
number of courts available from the sports facilities
next to school to improve PE classes and lunchtime
recreational activity for students.
Insurances
Continuing Professional Development
> Training budgets have been increased as more staff
have received training including preparing staff to
teach IGCSE courses 2019/20 and the IBDP course in
2021/22.
> Increased spending on health and safety measures
to improve the school premises and the number of
qualified first aid staff to support the children and the
whole Verita community.
> Mantle of the Expert team of experts concluded an
in house training for 5 days at Verita school.
> Fieldwork Education Regional Event - Rotterdam -
Embedding the IMYC
> Powering Up Learning Through Inquiry: A unique
conference for curious, passionate educators across all
sectors of schooling - Chapters International -
International School of Luxembourg
> CBCT ( Cognitive Based Compassionate Training ) &
SEE ( Social Emotional & Ethical ) Learning Facilitator
Training - Frankfurt ( January 6th -12th )
> SEE ( Social Emotional & Ethical ) Educators &
Facilitators Training - June 8th -11th
> White Rose Maths 3 days training in the UK
> Increased Insurance liability to ensure children,
staff, parents and visitors are insured against
accidents on the premises
> To ensure staff have the necessary insurance for
work and to support their health
As the school continues to grow in the coming years,
we are striving to accumulate a financial reserve to
help finance and invest in a new state of the art
campus with an estimated investment of over 15
million EUR. We hope to secure the land, finalize the
permitted and complete the construction by 2023.
As soon as we secure the land and have concrete due
legal diligence completed, Verita will immediately
inform our community of the location and more
details on the development plan of the campus.
