Welcome to the Veridian Series of the Linda Berry Stein College of Arts & Sciences
From the Dean
As we begin the second year of the Veridian, I’ m struck by how clearly it reflects the identity of the Linda Berry Stein College of Arts & Sciences. Our College brings together an extraordinary range of disciplines, perspectives, and forms of expression, and Veridian brings those connections to life. Through performances, exhibitions, lectures, conversations, and shared experiences, our students and faculty reach beyond the classroom, engage with one another, and connect their work with the broader Jacksonville community.
Dr. Christopher Corbo Dean, Linda Berry Stein College of Arts & Sciences
For our students, these connections matter. Education is at its best when ideas encountered in a classroom, studio, laboratory, or rehearsal space become part of something larger. Veridian helps students experience new perspectives, participate in the cultural and intellectual life of the University, and see themselves as contributors to the community around them.
As Veridian enters its second year, the series shines when it brings people together, sparks curiosity, and highlights remarkable work. It reflects a community that values creativity and inquiry, embraces interdisciplinary connection, and prepares students to pursue what is possible. I hope you will join us throughout the year and experience all Veridian has to offer.
Thank you for your continued support and presence in all we do.
From the Associate Dean and Series Director
As Series Director of the Veridian, I’ m honored to usher in another year of bold creativity, interdisciplinary exploration, and community connection. Veridian, named for the deep green that evokes renewal and momentum, continues to embody our commitment to growth and imaginative inquiry.
This year’ s series amplifies that vision. We’ re bringing forward new voices, fresh collaborations, and inventive ways of experiencing the arts and sciences. Each event showcases boundary‐pushing creators and thinkers whose work thrives across disciplines through immersive exhibitions, kinetic performances, inventive research, and experiences that spark curiosity and connection.
Veridian builds on its roots, reaching toward what’ s possible with a renewed sense of purpose. Like the color that inspired its name, the series is designed to ignite growth in every participant, patron, and attendee. I’ m excited to welcome you to this year’ s vibrant season.
