Music possesses a rare power to translate lived experience across cultural divides where words often fail. This program explores the musical connections among African American, Jewish, immigrant, and Indigenous traditions. It reveals how these communities have shaped one another, and the nation, through shared resilience and creative dialogue. The evening draws a living line between two great traditions of freedom’ s music. In celebrating these intersections, the program shows that difference is not a barrier to unity but a source of richness that deepens our collective story.
