Coretta’ s Freedom Concert
Inspired by the historic, self-produced benefit concerts of Coretta Scott King, this signature event reclaims the stage as a sanctuary for justice, remembrance, and systemic change. Through song, poetry, and narrative, Mrs. King transformed the concert platform into a formidable instrument of the Civil Rights Movement. In that same spirit, this program explores how Black classical artists have long amplified the struggle for human dignity— offering an immersive musical experience that strengthens community and gives enduring voice to the ongoing pursuit of liberation.
