VERB MAGAZINE ABOUT VOLUME 1 Hello! Welcome to the very first issue of VERB Magazine. This publication is dedicated to the young people of Trinidad and Tobago. This is your space to talk about the issues that are important to you. We know that there are secondary school students and teenagers across Trinidad and Tobago who are extremely talented and are attaining noteworthy achievements in their schools and communities that have both national and international impact. This is your space to shine. In this issue we talk to the musicians from St François Girls’ Steel Orchestra about their preparations for this year’s Trinidad and Tobago National Junior Panorama Finals. We also hear what inspired one girl from Chaguanas North Secondary School to do the ‘big chop.’ Poets from Bishop Anstey High School East and Trinity East College are also on the inside. The Big Story examines the art of wining. Has the national pastime evolved into something too risqué? Hear what teens and music industry insiders have to say. These and other stories we’ve put together for you in this edition of VERB Magazine. Enjoy.
