In this artwork, Vera DG explored the ancient Turkic runic inscriptions from Central Asia, which were the writings of the powerful empire of the Göktürk Khaganate.
Artist used fragments of inscriptions from the Tonyukuk's Memorial in her artwork, which tell about glorious campaigns and conquests, about life and death, about the worldview and beliefs of the ancient Turks.
The outer ring of calligraphic work is an inscription in Latin: Vita brévis, ars lónga, that means “Life is short, Art is eternal”.
Vera DG wrote a Latin expression in the Modern Calligraphic style of writing. The silver ornate line symbolizes luck and unexpected twists of fate.
