Make sure you secure a venue that can accommodate all of your guests. The last thing you want to do is to have to uninvite Aunt Marge because the venue space is limited, yikes!

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR VENUE?

What are the weather contingencies at your venue? What time of year are you planning on getting married? If it is the middle of July in Missouri, does your outdoor venue have enough fans or places for guests to cool off? Likewise, if it is outdoors in November or even March, do they offer heaters?

DO THEY HAVE GETTING READY SUITES?

Does the venue offer separate rooms for you and your entourage to get dressed? Are there enough bathrooms to accommodate your bridal party and guests? seven tick-tock

HOW MUCH TIME DOES YOUR RENTAL FEE COVER?

How much time will you have for rehearsal? When will you be able to use the space to practice? When will you and your vendors be able to get into the space to set up and get ready? How long will you have to tear down on your wedding day?

WHAT IS YOUR PRICE POINT?

It is ok to ask what the venue fee is to determine if it is within your budget. Find out what that fee includes so you are comparing apples to apples. How much do you need to put down to secure your date? Is there an option for a payment plan?

ARE YOU SERVING DRINKS AT YOUR RECEPTION?

Does the venue allow alcohol? Do they allow you to hire outside bartenders or do they have their own bartending service? Are there corkage fees? Do they have liability insurance or do you need to purchase that separately?
