THE SANDRA AND MALCOLM BERMAN FAMILY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Although known for their contributions to education and healthcare , the Bermans are also passionate advocates for the arts . Their most recent gift to Stevenson supports the construction of our new performing arts center and , in honor of their generosity , the 38,000-square-foot facility will be named the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Family Performing Arts Center .
“ The arts are essential to a full , wellrounded education ,” Sandra said . “ We wanted to ensure there was a space on Stevenson ’ s campus where students ’ creativity and talent can shine and where the entire community could come together to engage with and experience the arts .”
When complete , the Berman Family Performing Arts Center will enrich campus life at Stevenson and offer new opportunities for students in the Theatre and Media Performance , Film and Moving Image , and Fashion Design and Merchandising programs . In addition , students in co-curricular programs such as music , choral , and dance will have a place to showcase their work .
