pharmaceutical and biotechnology company , as well as the United States Senate . Other students have conducted research at Stevenson through the Summer Science Scholars Research Program ( S3RP ) as well as at other institutions , including the University of Southern California .
Graduates of the program have gone on to pursue postgraduate studies . One 2024 graduate , Jai Raccioppi , was recently accepted to the Biomedical Engineering Ph . D . program at the University of Florida . There , Jai will conduct research in the Tissue Mechanics , Microstructure , and Modeling Laboratory ( TM3 ). His first topic of research will examine how neurofibrillary tangles spread throughout the brain , and the effects of traumatic brain injury on this process . “ Stevenson has prepared me perfectly for my next step ,” Jai said . “ I have spent all four years as a student-athlete heavily involved with many extra curriculars to perfect my time management skill , which is arguably the most challenging aspect in the transition from undergraduate to graduate studies . I believe the faculty in the Biomedical Engineering department were an essential component of my success in graduate admissions , as they helped strengthen my
